Recent Projects
From Unusable Slope to Entertainment Space
The backyard of this Salmon Arm property was more obstacle than asset when we were called in. It had an irregular that slope split their backyard into two unusable levels separated by uneven, crumbly terrain. Patchy grass and weeds made the space uninviting, and it was impossible to set up lawnchairs or for the kids to safely play games.
The challenge:
The yard had extremely narrow access that would really limit the equipment we could use.
The solution:
We levelled the two main tiers, then built a curved retaining wall using decorative concrete blocks that created a uniform height along its entire length. Behind the wall, we installed weeping tile for drainage and engineered backfill for stability. Lastly, we added sod on the lower level to create an even, lush surface.
The result:
A beautiful, stable outdoor space that transformed unusable terrain into a functional entertainment area the homeowners are proud to show off.
